Bermondsey and Rotherhithe Carnival

The Bermondsey and Rotherhithe Carnival is commemorating the 70th anniversary of the Blitz at Southwark Park on June 12 from 12 to 6pm.

Musical performances at The Bandstand from Rose Marie, Stacey Soloman, Andy Abraham, plus local talent from Nigel of Bermondsey, The Barrow Boys, Millie Cook & Shabazz.

Starting at 2pm, the parade will travel from Spa Rd along Grange Rd, Southwark Park Rd passing The Blue and then into Southwark Park. Featuring 17 groups, the parade will celebrate how community spirit overcame the horrors of war. Workshops have taken place in the build up to the carnival with the South Bermondsey Partnership funding workshops in schools.
