Tustin estate young people succeed in raising £5000

Young people from the Tustin estate have succeeded in obtaining £5000 to organise activities for young people in their community hall. 10 resourceful young people between the ages of 11 and 16 were concerned that there was nothing happening for young people on their estate, so, with the support of South Bermondsey Partnership, the Livsey safer neighbourhoods team and the local youth development officer, they got together to discuss what sort of things they would like taking place, deciding that they mainly wanted sports and performing arts sessions. They then applied for money from the Southwark Youth Fund and have just found out that they have been successful.
