Bermondsey Youth Forum

The Bermondsey Youth Forum is a group of young people aged 13 to 19, many representing various youth clubs in the area who meet regularly to discuss issues relevant to young people in Bermondsey. At a Bermondsey Community Council meeting in 2007 they identified three areas they saw as important for young people in Bermondsey:

� More provision for young women
� Better information on what is available for young people
� A bus service to collect young people and take them to different youth provision

In response to these requests Youth Club for the Blue has been running a young women’s night offering activities chosen by members. The Forum is presently trying to raise funding to create a directory of youth provision in Bermondsey that will be distributed to all young people. The bus idea is slightly more ambitious but the forum is working on how this could operate.
