Halloween at the Blue

Keetons and St Crispin’s TA, the South Bermondsey Partnership and Southwark Council organised “Halloween at the Blue”, an event aimed at encouraging local people to use the Blue local centre, its shops and public spaces and increasing social interaction.

Despite the cold weather over 150 people attended the event, which included bouncy castles, story telling, traditional games, face painting, pumpkin lantern making, a fancy dress competition, a recycled music workshop and DJ music. Food and refreshments were provided throughout the event. People really enjoyed the event and gave positive feedback. Key to the success of the event was the active involvement of local residents in the organisation of the event.

Winners of the fancy dress competition were awarded prizes by The Worshipful Mayor of Southwark Councillor Eliza Mann.
